Method of travel is motor or paddle. 25 h.p. motor maximum. Motor use OR possession requires an overnight motor permit. Access is from Vermilion Lake via a 60-rod canoe portage or a 180-rod portage, which allows the use of portage wheels. #8 Moose River (south of the Echo Trail)

#9 Little Indian Sioux River (south of the Echo Trail)

#12 Little Vermilion Lake
Method of travel is motor or paddle. Motor use OR possession requires an overnight motor permit (unlimited motor h.p.). Enter from Crane Lake. NOTE: This is NOT the entry point for Trout Lake (EP#1). Trip options for paddlers with additional portages. On US side motors are only allowed up to edge of Snow Bay on Lac LaCroix. #12A Lac LaCroix only (from Little Vermilion Lake)
Method of travel is motor or paddle. Motor use OR possession requires an overnight motor permit (unlimited motor h.p.). Enter from Crane Lake. Must camp all nights on Lac LaCroix (day trips to other lakes are permitted). Use only after Entry Point 12 is full. Very difficult to reach Lac LaCroix by paddle in one day. #14 Little Indian Sioux River (NORTH of the Echo Trail)
